Text Box: I really didn’t exercise good judgement when I went shopping trip with mom with my nephews Eric and Ryan Baldi helping with the purchases. We actually only went into one store which was my fatal mistake. It was the Candy Store. First I had to have a bag of peanut butter Mary Jane candies. Second, some chocolate kisses for my diabetic mother (Great). Then my sensible nephew Eric had to have his giant jawbreaker, that he licked for hours until his tongue split up the middle and bled for hours. While consuming my Mary Janes, I knew that Erics tongue was going to be an issue. I’m sure his mother didn’t want him to drink any blood before dinner. I confessed to Renee, that it was all Erics fault and took my punishment.
Happy Fathers DayText Box: Niece Karen and Nephew Eric, sent out the invite and we all came together. Karen and Eric are the parents of Rusty Wilson Hernandez. Pictured below is Rusty along with my sister in law, Grandma Gloria Alletto. It was a real nice time gathering with members of both sides of the family. Not everyone of us guys were fathers, however it didn’t matter. It gave us all time to celebrate and reflect on those who are no longer with us.
As usual with a Hernandez party, there was an endless supply of food and beverages that forced them to give out food as parting gifts. Celebrating in their magnificent back yard made me feel like I was on a vacation far away. For all those fathers out their and even the ones that have taken on the roll as a surrogate parent, I hope you all had a great day.
